| One of my best friends in football is Chris Coleman, manager of Coventry City, who we played tonight. We have known each other since we were eleven years old when I played for Deeside Schoolboys and he played for Swansea Schoolboys, whom we beat in the final of the Welsh Cup. Since then we have come up through the ages and ranks of Welsh football together. A very funny man who never takes life too seriously but he has excelled as a manager doing an amazing job when he took over at Fulham, and doing an equally good job at Coventry City. Fortunately for us, we broke an old club record tonight by winning the game 2-1 and going twelve away games without defeat, a great achievement and testament to all the hard work the players have put in all season. |
